Update Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 with Official ICS 4.0.4 XWLPO Firmware [How to Tutorial]

Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 owners and those who love their device, good news coming to you, ICS 4.0.4 fimware can be upgrade in your devices.The Update fixes issues related to the camera app and issues with the flash light. This firmware has already officially released in UK. Since there is no boot loader in this update, anyone can apply this firmware in their unlocked device. ( Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 ). Below there will be a guide on How to Update Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 with Official ICS 4.0.4 XWLPO Firmware.

Requirments:

1. Your Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 must be rooted first before applying update.

2. Back up your important data's such as SMS, Contacts, Call logs, Images APN Settings and etc.

3. The battery life of your device should not be less than 60%. to finish the update without turning your device off.

4. Be sure you turn off or unistall all security suites in your computer it may interrupt when the firmware update is proccesing.

Now the step by step procedure on How to Update Galaxy SII GTI900 with Official ICS 4.0.4 XWLPO:

1. First, download ICS 4.0.4 XWLPO firmware package here and Odin here.

2. After downloading, extract the files to get tar file and odin executable file.

3. Open Odin in your computer.

4. Then turn off your device so it can enter the download mode.

5. Now enter to download mode by pressing Volume down Key + Center button while holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. ( A green robot will appear which indicate your entered download mode.)

6. Now Connect your device to your desktop / Laptop and in Odin you will see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully.

7. Once the ID: COM section is turned Yellow then click on “Start” for applying the firmware update.

8. Now if the device is updated, it will be rebooted and you need to disconnect the device.

9. Turn off the device so that it can enter to recovery mode.

10. Hold Volume Up button + the Home key button, while pressing these both turn on your device, This will enter you to recovery mode.

11. When the device is rebooted, check the if the firmware update has been applied or not, do this by going to setting > about phone > firmware version > it will be mentioned as XWLPO

12 . There yo go! Congratulations you have successfuly updated your device with latest XWLPO firmware.
