Today it will be the big vs small comparison and it semms that the larger one is most greater than the other one. It has a lot of edge against the small one. It will be declared that the larger one is really the clear winner of most times. Samsung Galaxy S3 mini has a few similarities to the galaxy s3 but the good thing with the mini is its much cheaper. Below will give you a head to head comparison between their specifications and the actual differences between these two great smartphones. We conclude samsung has been smart enough that they launch a smartphone mini version with the same interface.

Now we will see the following comparison:

Design, Display and its Dimensions

Lets start with the galaxy S III mini with a 4.0 inch capacitive touchscreen while the original S3 with a 4.8 screen which both has the Super amoled display. The larger version galaxy s3 that is having a corning gorilla glass for protection while the galaxy s3's mini pixel density is quite lesser. The numbers are 223 PPI for mini and S3 with 306 PPI. All in all with much more pixel density and great screen resolution 720x1280 pixells, therefore The winner Galaxy S3 has the better edge than the Galaxy S3 mini with just only 480 X 800 screen resolution. The dimensions of Galaxy S3 (SIII) - 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm with a weight of 133 g while the Mini 121.55 x 63 x 9.855mm with a weight of 111.5 g

Camera

In this area the winner is still the larger galaxy s3 which got a 8 megapixel camera ( autofocus and led flash with video capture capable @ 1080p HD quality) while the mini only got 5 megapixel with autofocus and led flash but with poor 720 p quality video capture. Also both has the front camera but the galaxy s3 has a lot better front cam with 1.9 megapixel and to capture 720 p videos while the Mini has only VGA.

Memory

Galaxy mini's internal memory is 16 GB with a external storage microSD card up to 32 GB. The Galaxy S3 has a larger versions that comes in 16 and 32 GB versions and can be expanded to 64 GB storage using microSD card.

Battery

Mini has quite edge here with a better battery compare to the level of specifications and capacity of the larger GAlaxy s3, the 1500 mAh of the mini against 2100 mAh of the Galaxy S3 is better when screen size, processor and the camera are all kept quite low in specs.

Connectivity and its Network

Galaxy S3 Supports HSDPA and HSUPA along with Wifi/a/b/g/n and bluetooth 4.0 while the bluetooth and wifi is at the same level the network support is only for the HSPA network indicating it is a 3G device.

OS ( Operating System ) and its processor

A major downgrade and we are not sure on how this galaxy S3 mini would be able to handle its heavy interface with just a dual core processor with a speed @ only 1GHz. The larger sure the winner is a lot more greater with a quadcore processor with 1.5 GHz speed that can handle multitask load. The Samsung didn't change anything regarding tis operating system and interface, with the Galaxy s3 running android 4.0 during launch and now most are upgraded to jellybean android 4.1 and the galaxy mini is coming in with latest jellybean OS with the sam touchwiz enhanced interface.
