Requirements:
1. Your Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 device must be rooted before applying this firmware. If your device is not rooted don't continue.
2. Back up your important data's such as SMS, Contacts, Call logs, Images APN Settings and etc.
3. All antivirus or security suites should be disable/uninstall cause it may interrupt as the update is processing.
4. The battery life of your device should not be less than 60%. to finish the update without turning your device off.
5. Now enable USB Debugging mode in your Device, do this by going to settings>applications>development>USB debugging.
Now I give the step by step guide/procedure on how to Update Galaxy S GT I9000 with Stable Jellybean 4.1.1 Firmware
1 First Download jellybean 4.1.1 package here and google apps package here to your computer.
2. After downloading, connect your Device Galaxy S GT I9000 to your computer using your USB cable and put the downloaded zip files in your device.
3. Disconnect your device from the computer.
4. Turn off your device to enter recovery mode.
5. Now to enter recovery mode press volume up key + center button and while holding both simultaneously press the power button. (If device boots up in normal mode try again) note also if you apply on other Galaxy S variant there will be a possibility your device will brick
6. In recovery mode select wipe data/factory reset. You also need to select wipe cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of rocker keys.
7. Choose install zip from sd card > select zip from internal sd card and select the downloaded jellybean 4.1.1 firmware package and then the google apps package. To select yes use the volume rocker keys and menu button.
8. Once the update is applied just select go back and then reboot system now.
9. Check if your firmware update is successful or not. Do this by going to Settings > about phone.
